Le Scrawl was formed in 1990 by Peter and Mario in Potsdam, Germany.
In the beginning mainly influenced by Grindcore and Deathmetal, first of all by bands like Extreme Noise Terror, Terrorizer, and Napalm Death, we gradually tried to introduce various styles of music. At the time Felix and Michael joined the band we started to blend Grindcore with Ska, Swing, Jazz...
In 1992 after recording 3 demo tapes we started to work with Ecocentric Records. In 1993 we played our first show (Bremen, Germany) followed by gigs with Anal Cunt, Cripple Bastards, Agathocles and fellow Germans, W.B.I., Necrophiliacs, and Pink Flamingos. In June 1997 we played our first gigs abroad (Slovenia).
In 2002 we reformed the band with a slighty changed line-up and established a new collaboration with "Life is Abuse" (US) and "Regurgitated Semen Records." (GER).
(Le Scrawl has since toured California in 2004 and played the "Extreme Obsene" Fest in Czech).
